The honest version
What is ours,
and what is Tedooo's
Tedooo draws it
The design comes back from Tedooo's design technology, the same engine behind every made-to-order piece on the marketplace. It is fast because it has seen a great many commissions.
We make it
A machine has never touched the glass. Two people cut, paint, fire and lead every piece in Asheville, and one of us checks the design against your photograph before we start.
Tedooo takes the money
We sell through Tedooo, so an order placed here lands in the same shop and the same order history as one placed on the marketplace.
The photograph stays yours
It is used to draw your piece and nothing else: not resold, not published, not used to train anything. It is deleted when the order closes.

The questions
people ask
If yours is not here, write to us. A person answers, usually within the day, and usually with more detail than you wanted.
What makes a good photo to upload?
One subject, roughly facing the camera, with their eyes visible. Daylight helps. It does not need to be sharp. Most of what we work from is a phone photo of a dog on a sofa, and the eyebrows still come out right. What we cannot work from is a subject facing away, or three dogs at once in one round.
What if the design is not right?
Change the words, the tone or the photo and run it again, as often as you like, free, for as long as you like. If it still is not there, say so and one of us will draw it by hand instead. That costs $20 more and adds about a week.
Is it printed or is it glass?
Glass. Hand-cut from sheet, painted, and fired at 1,465°F so the colour is in the glass rather than on it. There is no print, no acrylic and no vinyl anywhere in it, which is why it weighs what it weighs.
Can you work from a photo of someone who has died?
Yes, and a good part of what we make is exactly that. Old photographs, scans and screenshots are all fine. Tell us it is a memorial piece in the box. We handle those by hand from the start and we will not rush you through it.
When do I pay?
At the end, once you have approved a design. Designing is free, you can run it as many times as you like, and there is no account to make first. You check out through Tedooo. Because the piece is then made for you, it is not returnable, which is exactly why the approving happens first.
How long, really?
Two to three weeks in the studio, then post. For Christmas, order by 27 November internationally and 11 December in the US. We would rather turn work away in December than miss a date we gave you.
